Changing Body Energy posted on August 26, 2015 by Dr. Carol Ann Fischer, DC

Changing Body Energy
By Dr. Carol Ann Fischer, BS, DC, ND

Healthy bodies vibrate with lots of energy. All cells work using an energy vibration known as voltage. Just like an alkaline battery is used to power radios and toys, bodies store and use voltage. In energy medicine, health is associated with negative voltage, and an alkaline state. Conversely, chronic disease and pain are associated with acidity and a loss of voltage.

Voltage is stored by the fat cells that make up the body cell membranes. This allows the cell to have an unlimited source of energy. Bodies will only be able to store energy if the right fats are consumed. A diet rich in good fats like coconut oil, olive oil, avocado and raw butter/raw milk allows cells to properly store energy.

Faster aging, fatigue, pain and dis-ease formation occurs when the wrong fats are eaten. The worst offenders in the food category are cooked and processed foods, especially those made with canola oil, and any type of trans fat from partially hydrogenated or hydrogenated oils.

To reduce spoilage, food manufacturers heat oils to increase the shelf life of processed foods. The heated oils are trans fats that act as plastic fats in the cell membrane. These fats wrap the cells in a substance like cellophane, which cannot store voltage. This is what makes these fats unhealthy.

Environmental stress and toxins, negative thoughts and emotions, trauma, EMF, caffeine, and a poor functioning thyroid also rob the body of energy. Other culprits are the chemicals chlorine and fluoride that are added to the drinking and bathing water. Bottled water contains plastic residue that causes reduced voltage. A diet high in fried foods, meat, pop, sugars and grains also reduces voltage.

The human body functions at -20 to-25 millivolts, which is the healthy blood pH of 7.365 to 7.4.  The body becomes susceptible to dis-ease when voltage drops. A sick body is associated with a low or positive voltage. Increasing the cellular voltage provides the power for the body to heal itself.

The earth recharges itself lightening strikes, which is 800 times/second somewhere around the world. Human body voltage can be increased by connecting with the earth when swimming in the ocean, standing barefoot in dirt, getting sun exposure and standing in running water. This is why most people feel energized when bathing in water through a shower filter, instead of chlorinated tap water. Hugging someone can also increase energy.

Another way to increase voltage energy is to eat a diet that consists mainly of organic raw, unprocessed, chemical free food. Raw foods can be combined and blended into a smoothie or eaten as a salad. A raw food diet alone may not be sufficient to offset the voltage stealers that rob our bodies of life energy.

Energy can be increased with proper mineral supplementation, sufficient iodine and natural thyroid support, effective digestive enzymes, and organic, unrefined, unprocessed oils. Drinking living water with a high negative voltage can rapidly increase body voltage, allowing the body to start the healing process. The body can heal itself when given the right tools.

The Secret to Simple Weight Loss posted on February 28, 2015 by Dr. Carol Ann Fischer, DC, ND

A healthy body is composed of 25% fat. Your body uses this fat in all cell membranes, and in nerve and brain cells. Good fat is not the body fat that you find around your abdomen or thighs. That extra body weight occurs from the consumption of wrong fats and excess sugars.

The body protects itself from toxins by surrounding them with fat and storing them. When there are no good fats, the body uses the bad fats to make cell membranes. The bat fat cell membranes prevent the toxins stored inside the cells from being released, adding to weight gain everywhere. In addition to weight gain, bad fats increase bad cholesterol (LDL) levels, and decrease good cholesterol (HDL) levels.

Man-made (bad) fats add to the toxic burden and increase body weight and inches. This includes the fat found in processed foods and margarine. These bad fats are non-digestible. To lose weight, consume good fats that are digestible, and are solid at room temperature, like coconut oil and butter. Avoid using Canola oil and imitation butters. Canola oil is highly processed Canadian oil made from the poisonous and deadly rape seed plant. Olive oil is the best oil to use on salads, and is better for cooking than corn or vegetable oil.

If you find that you cannot lose weight easily by changing your food intake, it could be because your body has stored too many toxins. Everywhere you look we are bombarded with chemicals. There are over 14,000 man-made chemicals in our food supply alone, not to mention the chemicals that we put on our skin in the form of soaps, lotions and cosmetics. The average American consumes 14 pounds of chemical additives, 180 pounds of table sugar, and 54 gallons of pop, in addition to bad fats. This contributes to weight gain and must change.

Everyone bathes daily in clean water, but do you drink water to clean the inside of your body? Your body is 70% water. Water is used to dilute and neutralize toxic chemicals. Without sufficient water these chemicals are stored in the body in the fatty tissues, adding to weight gain. So bathe your body on the inside each and every day to keep it healthy and to help it lose unwanted pounds.

The amount of water that your body needs daily is one-half your body weight in ounces. If you weighed 150 pounds you should drink 75 ounces of water daily. As you increase your water consumption toward half your body weight in ounces, you will find that food cravings will decrease, you will sleep better, you will have more energy, and you will lose weight.

If you are unable to drink half your body weight in ounces, you are drinking the wrong type of water. Not all waters are created equal. Some waters taste better than others, and are easier to drink. Clean healthy alkalized, antioxidant rich water is easy to drink and super hydrating. Many people who drink this type of water experience increased energy and easier weight loss. Stress is NOT a Way of Life

Posted on October 12, 2014 by Dr. Carol Ann Fischer, DC, ND
We live stress filled lives. We eat on the go, and our days are unending. We can’t stop thinking and let ourselves relax and enjoy. We are always working or doing something. We wait for vacations, and then need a vacation after our vacation. We have forgotten how to relax and enjoy life. In our world today stress has become a way of life, but it should NOT be so. The right amount of stress helps motivate us to take action. Too much stress can cause us to feel overwhelmed, overworked, fatigued, and emotionally and physically drained. The adrenal glands, part of the endocrine system, primarily deal with stress. These glands are located on top of each kidney, which is how they get their name, the adrenals.
There are 3 categories of stress   that can cause the adrenals to react. The first is physical stress from poor posture, injuries or trauma. The second is chemical and environmental stress that can be in the form of food, toxic chemicals, insufficient water, missing vitamins or minerals, electromagnetic pollution or allergic reactions. The third type of stress is what most people think of when stress is mentioned – the emotional reaction. We create emotional stress by saying “No Problem”, when we really mean, “No Way.” Stress is cumulative, meaning the different types of stress add up to feeling overload. When the brain determines that it is stressed, it believes everything is an emergency.

There is a natural solution to this 21st century stress overload phenomenon. First identify the different stressors that are causing a stress reaction in your body. Next reduce the stressors that you can by changing your diet, and lifestyle habits. Here are six ways to help you win the battle against adrenal stress burnout.
  1. Follow your natural body instinct to go to bed early, when you first feel tired. Do not stress yourself by staying up late and allowing yourself to get that second wind.
  2. Eat real whole foods and the correct protein requirement for your body type, instead of eating convenience and fast foods. Do not give into sugar, chocolate and carbohydrate cravings.
  3. Avoid dietary stimulants that keep the body in a “stress emergency” state. Do not allow yourself to become dependent upon coffee, pop or caffeine stimulants.
  4. Your body needs water to bathe the inside to flush out as many toxins as it can. When the body cannot flush out the toxins, they are stored in your body fat, adding to weight gain. Do not drink less water than half your body weight in ounces.
  5. Avoid foods made with hydrogenated oils or trans fats. These bad fats damage the cells on the inside of your body. Do not eat junk food, packaged or processed foods that have these bad oils.
  6. How long it will take for you to have your energy return varies from person to person. Have patience and allow your body time to heal. You will know when you are ready to get back into a regular routine. As your body heals your energy will return. Do not force yourself to exercise when you are exhausted, as this will only slow your recovery.
Chiropractic care is an essential tool to help reset the adrenals. Chiropractic reduces the accumulated physical stress on the nervous system, by taking the body out of the “stress emergency” state. Once the body had been de-stressed by chiropractic, exercise can then help to keep the physical stress level down. Nutrition is another essential tool to provide the necessary building blocks for the body to repair weak adrenal glands. Finding and fixing nutritional deficiencies allows the body to heal itself once it has the correct nutrients. Identifying and reducing the toxic burden the body has accumulated is another important component of stress reduction.

The goal of stress reduction and adrenal regeneration is to give the body the necessary tools and opportunity to rebuild and repair the adrenals. Avoid becoming dependent upon natural or synthetic hormone therapy. The hormones produced by your endocrine glands are very potent chemical messengers. High doses of natural, bio-identical or synthetic hormones prevent your body from actually healing. Change your diet and lifestyle habits to remove the interferences that have created the stress. Give your body what it needs to begin to make its own hormones again. Allow your body the time it needs to renew and repair. Your reward will be a new life, filled with energy, vitality and less stress!
