Dole Recalls Spinach in 13 States Due to Salmonella Risk - A Safer Alternative

Salmonella Risk: Dole Recalls Spinach in 13 States

There is a better way than not eating fresh produce to avoid salmonella risk.

Dole Fresh Vegetables is voluntarily recalling bagged spinach distributed in 13 states due to possible salmonella contamination according to a report in USA Today. While no illnesses had been reported, Dole is cooperating with the FDA, a company spokesperson said.

About 2,800 cases or 33,600 bags of spinach from the Dole plant in Springfield, Ohio were involved in the recall. The precautionary recall stems from an "isolated instance" in which a random sample of spinach tested positive for salmonella in a test conducted by the Michigan Agriculture Dept.

Consumers who have the spinach are warned to discard it. The spinach has an expiration date of October 15, 2015. The spinach was distributed in Connecticut, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Wisconsin.

Symptoms of salmonella poisoning can include fever, nausea, diarrhea, vomiting or abnormal pain. The illness primarily affects young children, those who are frail and elderly, and people who have a weakened immune system. Instead of risking your family's health or avoiding all spinach, there is a better solution.

Prevention is the best way to never experience salmonella, e-coli and any other food borne illness.
Cleaning all produce and meats using strong acidic water from a Japanese medical device is the best way to safeguard your food, This water has been shown to be clinically effective against food borne bacteria, mold, fungus and viruses. It is even used in Japanese hospitals to clean and sterilize surgical equipment.

Join the hundreds of thousands of people in over 86 countries who use strong acidic water to safeguard their food.  Contact Dr. Fischer from TLC Holistic Wellness in Livonia, Michigan for more information or call (248) 382 - 8668 to learn more and to sample this water.

Read what one former TLC Holistic Wellness patient had to say after visiting Dr. Yale.
"From the moment I met Dr. Yale, before she even adjusted or tested me, I knew this was going to be a great experience and that I was finally going to be back to getting the care I needed. Dr. Yale welcomes her patients with open arms. She is willing to take the time to really listen to what her patients have to say so that they can work together to get to the root of the issue.
Her chiropractic adjustments and nutrition testing are as close to Dr. Fischer’s as I believe you can get and the care and compassion she shows her patients is second to none!
I have now been seeing Dr. Yale for about 6 months and I am 100% back to the level of health I was before Dr. Fischer left. Dr. Yale has a fantastic sense of humor, she brings an extremely personal touch to her practice, and she is the most organized holistic doctor we have met. When I go to see Dr. Yale, it is more like seeing a friend then a doctor.
To say I was ecstatic to hear that Dr. Yale would be taking over TLC Holistic Wellness is a huge understatement. I believe a lot of patients felt the same way about the care they were receiving after Dr. Fischer left TLC.
I urge former patients to come back to TLC now that Dr. Yale is there. You will receive the level of care that kept you coming back to TLC. With Dr. Sherry Yale at the helm, the tender, loving care will now be restored to TLC Holistic Wellness." DD
